Every winter, relief rations, each consisted of 50 catties of rice or flour and 5 catties of cooking oil, are distributed to poor families in the remote hilly regions of Shanxi, Kansu, Hupei, Ningxia, Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou provinces. The Foundation also delivers new winter clothing to some households in the cold North China to relieve their plight.

The cost of relief to each household is only US$20.
